    install win98 after win2k install how ??

    how do i do this the problem is that the HD is in NTFS and well windows need to be in the active partiton

    you have to have separate partitions for
    each operating system

    The only thing that needs to be in the active partition is the boot info, everything else can be on another drive or partition.

    Win98 can't read NTFS, so you'll probably need to redo the partitions on your HD.

    On my computer my boot partition is FAT16 and my NT resides on NTFS and Win98 resides on FAT32. The only thing that they can both read is the boot partition.

    With the newer versions of windows and with the correct patches & updates for NT, you should be able to set your boot partition to FAT32. I've never tried this so don't be too suprised if it doesn't work.
