    Shut down problem

    When I shut down my computer it never say "it is now safe to turn off you computer"
    But it has the logos.sys on the windows directry.So what can I do, I just built it for a week ago, it has a MPV chipset, K6-2 350, Sound Blaster 16, Ati all-in-wonder pro PCI Vga, Wisecom 56K ISA jumper modem, mitsumi 4820TE CD-RW, Acer 24X CD-Rom,Western digital 4.3GB hdd, micron 8n PC-100 64mb ram.I alredy tried to disable fast shut down and enable it too but it still like that.

    I had the same problem...it will probably be your video driver. Try using the generic driver and see what happens.

    i had the same problem till i heard that win98 has this "fast shutdown" thing that is suppose to speed up shutdown time, but it causes the problem you are having with some hardware configs... to fix it you should try turning this feature off by clicking on start and go to run - type in 'msconfig' (without quotes) and hit OK. on the window that pops up click on the 'advanced' button and click the 'disable fast shutdown button'.

    hope this helps - it worked for me...
