How the hell do i get rid of the linux partitions?
I cannot get rid of the extend dos partiton? it says it has a logical dirve but theres nothing there. also after got my other hd back to dos mode now when i try to format it it makes a real strange noise at some point on the disk!!? Please help I though mabie a low levle format would work but I aint got a mobo with that on it anymore

Can you make a new DOS partition in the extended partition? DOS FDISK will gladly overwrite any unknown partitions in an extended partition. (Experince speaking here!) After creating it you should be able to remove it and then remove the extended partition. I know its screwy that it wont let you remove the extended partition even though it doesn't recognise what partition's are in there, but this is M$ we are talking about!

I just remembered, DRDOS 7 recognizes Linux partitions. You can probly download it for free off Caldera's web site. Unfortunatly I dont have their URL off hand.

you need Partition Magic the easiest way
to delete,create and resize partitons even linux partitions !!

I (for RH) boot up as if im gonna install it again, then use FDISK, then delete both Swap and Native linux partitions, then save, and just reboot, poof theyregone.
