    setting up modem

    i have a boca isa 56k modem. i can't figure out how to set it up under linux. i have copies of mandrake 6.0, redhat 6.0 and slackware 4.0. i'm willing to use any of them. i have tried them all but to no success. i'm fairly new at linux but i can understand pretty techincal stuff so bring it on. does anyone know of a URL that has a good explaination of how to set up a modem? thanks alot for your help

    you might be able to get the modem working with alot of configuring....but its still an ISA wich sux and yo could save yourself alll this trouble just looking in the want ad's or something and buy a used external modem. external is better anyway. you'll have NO trouble with an external

    the modem card is also my camera card so i have to stay with it. i would have already got an external modem.
