i just recently installed red hat 5.2 on my machine buit i can't get the right setup for my video card. can anyone help me resolve this. i have deleted it and installed it several time and used different video cards but nothing works. i can get a driver for the card that works under linux but what do i do from there? please help
Can you give a more detailed description of the problem?
It might also be worth your while to get a copy of RHL 6.0, which supports a wider variety of vid cards, and has the X setup built into it's install procedure. I have an address to an FTP with the ISO if you want it.
For updates to the xconfigurator prog.
What video card do you have?
There is no need to reinstall each time:
Try this, log in as root, at the command prompt type in the following:
cd /usr/X11R6/bin press enter
now type xf86config press enter
follow on screen instructions carefully
