Black and White...
Ok I hear this is an awesome game, one of those that sets a new standard of quality. Every mag I have read gives it a 9/10, and a few of my friends are salivating over it already. Anyone here played it and wanna share their experiences?
For instance, the AI sees to be extremely competent. If you choose to be evil, your island environment will change to look hellish, or if good then it will change into a paradise. Your pet can learn from you, such as how to spellcast.
Good or no good?

What is this game?
Everyone seems to be making a big deal about it....kinda like Alice - much hype at beginning, but never resulted in much (IMO).

I have played Black and White since it came out last Wednesday. I love this game. The AI seems to be just like the game was advertised, as real as possible for a computer game.
I have to warn you though, this game is a very complicated, huge, and you have to micro-manage alot.
Probably the only thing I have against this game is the camera controll. It's very hard to get use to.

I have to agree with killroy. Minus the camera controls this game is great. The depth to what you can do in this game is incredible. Very good game IMO.

Ok by what I have read by other players, there are 3 "pets" you can choose from to run your islands. They are:
Cow: leans toward good, worst fighter, dumbest animal
Monkey: Most intelligent pet, average fighter, equally adept at being good or evil
Tiger: as you would expect, best at offense, but nearly as dumb as cow
Game seems unique, but I am gonna let my friends beta test it for me first. Some people are saying it gets boring around the 3rd isle or so.

Still no one here plays this game? I guess it is not all the rage then

I bought it last Saturday thinking that is is a game that Id really get into. It only re-enforced that I'm more of a "Counter-strike/ NHL2k1 / Driving" type gamer. One where I dont need to take notes, Remember where I left off and what i was doing last time I played.
I admit, on Sunday, I played it for 3 hours straight, but I think thats the only 3 hours Ill be spending on it.
Seems like an awesome game for those who like that sort of thing. It was pretty cool being able to pick up a rock (or villager) and toss them around, but seems like it will get old real fast.
Although I agree...I HATE the camera controls!....(the main reason I stopped playing it was because I was getting aggravated trying to move around)
I havent tried the online matches yet but its getting to be nice outside and dont want to spend hours learning a game that is getting boring already.
Anyone wanna buy it?

is it possible to get a demo of the game?
I wanna try it out, but not necessarily buy it right now. I checked out their homepage, all I could find is some stupid winamp plugin. I checked fileplanet and couldn't find much, but it's possible I just couldnt' find it!
