CS Connection Problems.....
Ok here's the deal. I bought half-life game of the year edition. I downloaded the update. I installed the update. I dowloaded the counterstrike setup. I installed the setup. I try to play through gamespy with a friend, and it won't work. It would say the usual stuff, and after WON Authentication Succesful, it would say "Retrying XXX.XX.XXXX" three times, then "Connection attempt failed after 4 retries." Then it says "Connection Accepted by XXX.XX.XXXX", sits there for a long time, then "Precaching Resources", sits there for a long time, "Done Precaching Resources" and that's as far as I've ever gotten. At that point I've never gotten anything more to work. The darn thing just won't connect. What does this mean and what can I do to fix it? PLEASE HELP ME!

What is your connection? System specs?
If you are trying to go through a firewall, you might have to unblock 27015 (UDP), though it sounds like you have gotten further than I could when that port was blocked.

Ooops! I thought I forgot to post something there. Here's the stuff you asked for.
I'm on Cable
P-MMX 233
96 mb ram
If my video card or any of that **** matters I can find out, I just don't know off the top of my head right now.
I'm running ZoneAlarm.
You need any more specs?

Well I disabled zonealarm but I'm still having the exact same problem. What else could it be?

Well I worked on it, and when I changed my video mode from Direct3D to software, it works, but it is slower than hell. By the time I see an enemy I'm already dead because its so slow. I tried using openGL but it wouldn't work. Is there any way I could configure it to run with openGL or Direct3D?
