Diamond 3 S540 and Rainbow Six??? Freezes?

When trying to play Rainbox Six with my new Diamond 3, it freezes everytime. All other games seem to work fine? Is there some way to fix this or has someone else had the same problem? Thanks, any info apprciated!

I don't know if it is your video card, but possibilities I can suggest...

a) try new drivers (like you haven't heard that one before!)

b) check out the R6 site www.redstorm.com (I think) - they may have a reference to a known bug/workaround with your card.

Note: Also try checking the "Force Software" option in the options screen. If this resolves your problem, then it may be a or b above.
Otherwise...
c) If you have recently upgraded your copy of R6 with the patch, you have to start the game from the start menu. I seem to remember from the patch readme.txt or a fansite bbs that the patched game hangs if you use the desktop icon or the cd autostart menu. If the game is locking up as soon as you enter the 3d world, then this is probably the case - I had the same issue.
