kingpin @ heat.net

Anyone know of any cures for online gaming
lockups? When I start to play everything is
smooth but after about 2-3 min. it starts
sloooowing down till I'm frozen waiting to
be blasted. My modem connects @ 26400bps.
Does it have anything to do with a cache or
swap file? thanks for any help.

Sounds like lack of RAM...I bet you have less than 128MB
It stinks..just when i wanna get more RAM, prices skyrocket. If you do want more RAM, now is not the time to buy..They just better go back down SOON!

Sorry for the slow response but have been working long hours. I have 128mb pc100 ram,
P2-350,quantum fireball hd,56k USR winmodem
(I know, winmodems suck). As for do I like
Heat.net I can't really answer because of the
lag/lockups I never get to play long enough.
My brother likes it alot, says it plays better than the others he has tried. Of course he has a cable modem. Thanks for the
replies.
