    Quake II - LAN HANG

    Hello gamers,

I have Quake II without patches which I can
play multiplayer over our LAN - great.

I recently bought Ground Zero which comes with the 3.19 patch, and we found that the
game would play for about five minutes and then hang - the machines that hang are
    DM Voodoo 2 's.

Does anybody know if the 3.20 patch will solve this ? Is anyone running Ground Zero
    on a LAN?

Well we play quake2 quite frequently at our lan parties, we havent played ground zero, but the 3.20 patch works great and we have used many different mods, www.planetquake.com and we can play for hours on end, usually without any problems or freezeups.

Oh another thing to recommend, grab the extremities expansion pack for like 10 bucks now, it has the complete 3.20 patch with ctf and all the deathmatch levels, it gives you some of the best mods and the eraserbot to play against.

Install quake2 and then use the patch on this cd to go right to 3.20, maybe that will fix your problem, but you should be playin with 3.20 no matter what.
