Quake 2 language version?

Hey peoples,

Anyone tell me why my Quake 2 game will not run on my computer?. When i try install it, it gives the error message as follows. "This version of Quake 2 will not work on this language version of win 95/NT". I'm running win98 as is my friend, and it works fine on his system. What does this mean?..

I brought a secondhand copy of q2 and had this problem.
What i did was copy the q2 files straight to the hard drive. Just watch those video files they take up a bit of room
