This weekend I am buying a new tnt2 card and I've been out of the game scene for awhile I use to play Wolf 3d and wing commander 3 I've seen Quake2 but my wife thinks it's to violent for the kids. I want something that shows up the tnt2 card. Lots of action good graphics ect. anyone able to help?

    Try Legoland...
yeah yeah, i know...it's too kiddy....but it's 3D resources sucking + bad graphics...dunno why, probably the geometry is very details...
or maybe u can try out Q3Test...and join a fast server + many players...and this will slow down the card...tremendously...

I want something I'm going to enjoy and really get into. You know get your mind of things. When I say "something to show up the tnt 2" I mean just so I can see what I've spent my money on and say its worth it.

UNREAL is the best game out there but it's definitely too violent for younger children, you might want to try falcon 4.0 the graphics are awesome but it's kinda buggy and probably won't be that great until the patches come out. But you can always get the demo of any game (just takes awhile to download). Try http://www.gamespot.com. Have fun.

A couple of racing games, if that's your bag, try MotoCross Madness, or Need for Speed III, they both utilize 3d quite well, just a suggestion.

I think Descent3 will be the best choise. Lots of explosion, good graphics and no blood.

I suggest any of the recent Star Wars games; Jedi Knight, X-Wing Alliance, Phantom Menace, Racer. All excellent graphics, and we all know there is, for all practical purposes, no blood in the Star Wars universe. All the games have varying difficulty levels so the kids can play without getting frustrated but it's still a challenge for you.

On a related note, go see Episode 1 as many times as you can afford! It's the # 5 movie of all time right now, let's push it to # 1 and sink the Titanic again!!!!

I agree with Veremount1, Descent three is rather new, actually they started shipping it begining of June. 360 degree environment, multiplayer, and get a good joystick, cuz you'll need it. It'll put your card (and your system) to the test

If you liked the wing commander games you might want to check out Mechwarrior3. This games actually looks better on my tnt than the Vodoo2 card that I have. Also Need for speed 2 or 3 (can't keep em straight anymore) has very good graphics rendering for the tnt cards. You can get a thrid person driving persective and watch the refeltion bouce off of the cars real cool.
