    Q3 & resolutions above 800x600

I just picked up the Diamond TNT Ultra 2 & i can't seem to get any game running over 800x600 resolution. Anyone know wut the problem is or have a fix?
    My system is a PIII 500, 128mb, Diamond TNT Ultra 2, IBM Deskstar H/D. DX7 beta is loaded <couldnt get over 800x600 w/DX6/6.1 either>, Win98 & Nvidia reference driver 1.91 <couldn't get 800x600 w/1.88 reference drivers or latest Diamond drivers either>.

Try re-installing Q3test. I have the basic same setup but with the CL Ultra, and I can get all the resolutions np with the ref drivers.

Hmmm..... sure smells of resource problems... I would move some cards around in the slots and try again.

Don't put anything in the PCI slot adjacent to the AGP because they share the same resources.

    Worth a shot!

i have tried removing other cards already. the pci slot under the agp slot is never never used for cooling reasons.
as i have stated that i have re-installed q3test a few times alredy, but the same problem with getting resolutions above 800x600 are also happening with unreal, blood 2 & a other games....

One thing I didn't even think about, is the AGP port at 100Mhz or 66Mhz? this makes a difference and is controlled by setting the AGP/FSB ratio. The setting for 66Mhz FSB is 1/1 and to maintianthe AGP at 66Mhz when a 100Mhz FSB is used is to reset the ratio to 2/3.
