Voodoo2 and certain games...
This has probably been covered elsewhere, but I'm unable to find the thread covering it, if it still exists.
I have had trouble with a particular game (F1RS) detecting my Voodoo 2 card.
After checking out the I-net site, there was mention of 2 dll's - glide.dll & sst1init.dll - that needed to be placed in the WINDOWS\SYSTEM directory, which, of course, fixed the detection problem.
I have other games that either have trouble detecting the existence of the card, or when manually set to use it, either crash, or don't work at all.
Can someone tell me of either a link where I can find out more information about this detection problem, or of what these dll's are, what they do, why they are needed and whether they will fix/remedy other games that run 3DFX. I have yet to try this F1RS fix on other games.
Thanks

Grab the latest drivers from the 3dfx website. It seems they did a number of fixes very recently due to Q3 and these fixes may help you.
