    Moving up the ranks

    Greetings,

At our current rate of production, I estimate that our team will advance to #17 on the top 100 list on July 30, with the update on the list appearing the next day.

I don't know about July 30, there's about a 6 million block gap between us! But about the same time we take #17, we'll also take #16

I think my math must be bad. I calculated the date based upon the "Top 100 Teams Yesterday" page. According to that page, we have cranked almost 200,000 more blocks than #17 Team Win32(Windows). At that rate, we will eat away their current six million block lead in roughly 30 days.

However, I am thrown by the column "Overall Rate" which I think is referring to Work Units. Simply put, I should not work units to calculate differences in blocks. My apologies.

#16 in the list, CCC.de, is cranking at a faster rate than Team32(Windows), but still at a slower rate than we are. We will eventually pass them, perhaps 4 to 5 days afterward.

August should be very good for team morale.

Something else that I feel is good for morale is the whole deal with Mr. McOwen. I don't know about you guys...but that makes me want to crunch blocks all the more!

That and to some how educate the ppl of Georgia so they realize what we're doing is actually a very good thing and beneficial for everyone. It's ironic that we're participating in something that will help make the net more secure for those that are less "computer literate" and those guys are the ones trying to put Mr. McOwen in jail!

<sigh> Ok. I'll get off my soap box now.
