Two Questions

I just upgraded two of my computers clients to the new win98 version and now they only grab 6 packets at a time, where as before I had it setup to grab 48, which was enough for about 12 hours worth of work on avg. I can't figure out why or how to change this.

Secondly, when is the next big dump?

Not sure WRT your first question; but in respect to your second Q - no big dump is planned yet AFAIK.

Yes, but how many work units do you get. Check the buff-in section it'll say 8 packets (??? work units). THe number of work units shouldn't have changed.

Jator is probably right, but it's also possible that you've upgraded to one of the newer clients that supports downloading a specified number of blocks based on how much time it will take your computer to process them. Perhaps you should check through Buffer and Buffer Updates in the configuration, to make sure that everything is A-OK...

You could be right. Depending on how he upgraded, it might use the default -1 setting which it determines the amount itself. I think if he upgraded without deleting the old client, the old INI file would still be in place and still have the same value for work units.

Yes, you're right Jator. Although, I remember when I was upgrading to the first of the "time" clients, it said please check over your INI file, because of major changes in the buffer updates. But you're right it should have kept his old settings too...

Actually, I got it now. I checked the ini's and got it set up and its running like it was before.
