    i dont get it.... (RC5)

ive been doing this for 5 days now. my rate is always between 1.50 and 1.54 Mkeys/sec. however, on my stats page at distributed.net, it only says my average is like, 1.28 Mkeys/sec, and its been going down a little every day. am i doin something wrong - like, not sending in all my blocks or somethin??

I am not positive as I am fairly new to RC5 myself, but I think that the rate 1.28 you are seeing is the average for the whole day. So for example if you were cracking at 1.5 for 12 hours and your computer was off for the other twelve, then your average would be .75. Also RC5 respects your other processes on your computer so that when you are using cpu cycles doing something else it slows down quite a bit to prevent from interfering.

I think bdog has your question answered. When you are using your computer especially playing a game or doing long and large downloads, your keyrate goes WAY down. Just keep plugging away and don't worry to much about it.

Also, on Dnet, your average on your personal stats is your overall key rate.

The possibility that someone sending random blocks could have sent in one of your blocks in before you, will affect you "credited" amount and lower you keyrate.
