What happends when you accidently delete your buff-out.rc5 file?? Well what I mean to say is how does distributed.net handle blocks that have been sent out but don't return? Do they re-send them out when everything has been sent out like in the final few months of the contest or what?

After all the available keys have been sent out. They recycle all of the blocks that failed to come back. That won't happen for a lease another half a year.

There is also a chance that any clients that are generating random blocks to crack. Happen to choose some of the ones that you missed. But that is rare since they usually pick a random block from farther on in the key space to avoid high levels of duplicates.
