    PProxy News

Got my cable connection's max increased to 5Gb so there is no threat of high service charges if the pproxy starts to get some real traffic. Which means, Go nutz.

And I also got two new IP addresses. Which solves my problem of web proxying to my other computers. Which I am becoming more and more convinced that the web proxy is the cause of the apache (web server) crashes (which then causes the ppstats, pproxy, etc. to lockup).

Spent some time yesterday optimizing apache's httpd.conf (config file). I smacked it down to 2K from 27K. So stat page loading times should be quicker.

I don't know if the contest is still on. I think spdsk8r has put it off because of so few sign ups. The deadline is getting close and I haven't heard to much from him. I'm taking a vacation from programming (unless the contest is back on). Going to spend some time looking for a new job.

My present employer is shoving the bone farther up my ***. (there goes the G rating) I ask for a raise and I get 2 hours of BS about comission structure, bonuses, and the protential to make lots of money in the future. Instead I basically got a pay cut and increased work load. I made the same baking donuts as I make now. So your going to see a highly qualified web developer/network technician flipping burgers or something soon. Too ****..I mean darn, hard finding a computer job in this hick town.

I am basically holding off on switching the server over to linux until I have too much time on my hands. I'm going to try and fix the problem instead of fleeing from it.

If you're new to this site and read through this post and/or you have no clue what a pproxy is. Please goto 24.72.9.177

If your still lost about what this RC5 thing is goto www.sysopt.com/rc5team.html

I see you increased the bandwidth when you saw me doing the most blocks I ever did since I started at RC5.

Just got a link to my site in Anandtech's webnews. If anyone dercides to click on the rc5 cracker, or the links section we may get more support for our multi processor systems, which still on't have names.

So Virus, do you think you can handle an extra 20-30k+ blocks a day coming through the PProxy? Let me know one way or another because there's a decent possibility I'll be able to assemble that kind of a cracking force within a month or so.

    Oh no!

I totally forgot to post a message in the mailing list!

I may as well set up a free address for it as I've got about 100 unsubscribe requests which I had to do manually.

Sorry once again Expect it later tonight.

    Brendan.
