    Cracking CPU Database

Since I have been doing a lot of database work in the last few months. I have gotten to the point where I want to database everything.

To get to the point on my post. How would everyone like to see a site where you could submit the stats and specs for every computer you've got cracking rc5 (or even seti) code. So others can see. Instead of posting them on the message boards. You would beable to modify them and even post news. I was also thing about having it calculate your daily potential. So you could see what efficiency you are running at.

Tell me what you think. If the response is good i'll get started on it maybe this weekend. As for a due date. Between 1-3 weeks. I'll also see about hosting it on a different connection and server then the pproxy.

Great! Sound's like a good idea and another way for people to compete. It should add some more interest to the RC5 contest too.

    Great idea!

If you want to keep bandwidth to aminimum, and you can make the script into perl/cgi, I could host it on my server (www.bkehoe.com).

I have unlimited bandwidth so there is no worry, and if the database grows to over 100MB the rates are good.

    Let me know.

    Brendan

Same here, I noticed that the stat's page is starting to grow, so if you need help with the server, let me know...

    I'm up to a:

    C466 @ 583Mhz
    160MB SDRAM
    5.1GB Hard Drive
    ISDN / unlimited bandwidth

There hasn't been too much interest in it.

But I went ahead and created it. Yes, I know I said it would take more then a week to finish. I was able to save time by heavily modifying my message board code.

So here it is and start logging your computer stats.

I entered my computer info, but they're not showing up... Is there an update time for this page like the stat page? I'm just wondering if I'm doing it right. Thanks for setting this thing up....

You just found a bug. I guess mysql can't have '-' in the table names. So I switched them to '_' which are converted to spaces for the pages. So now your name will be 'X J nine'.

    You can now add computers.

BTW, I can't wait to see what you've now got cracking. You showed some threatening numbers today.

I'm getting ppl adding themselves to the data base. Yet I don't see their emails on the stats page. If your not using the pproxy. Your still welcome, but please consider using the pproxy at 24.72.9.177 .

If your not involved in the RC5 cause. There isn't much use in adding your computers to the database. Unless you join the Sysopt.com/Tweakit.com RC5 Team.

If your a member of another team. I'm sorry, but this database is only for the members of the Sysopt/Tweakit teams (seti support will be included soon).

I will be soon only be accepting accounts with registered team members. So if the email you are using in the database is not the one used on the d.net stats. Please change it, so you don't get knocked off in the future.

I got to get ready to go out so I won't beble to fix anymore bugs tonight.

Thanks for fixing that. I updated my computer info. Now all I have to do is get the 12 PPro200's and 10 PII350's at work running this thing. Maybe Monday....
