    We're dropping in daily's!!!

Come on everyone we used to be #9-10 now we're down to #12-15! Let's start recruiting some more members...

    Sysopt admins -

Maybe an update on the main page would help get people more involved - mention the personal proxy that might interest some people to

I've also talked to a few sites that aren't participating yet about working with Sysopt/Tweakit to make a huge team possibly at #1 very soon!

The dailies are not as important as the output. We are processing more blocks than some of the older teams on a per day basis. Thus, we will continue to move slowly up overall. However, we are going to have to get more computing power to overtake some of the top teams.

I agree that a update/rewrite of the sysopt page would help.

I also noticed that mysonscool@aol.com may have left the team.
Or his AOL account got hacked and they changed teams for him/her.

He was one of our heavier hitters.

Maybe we should see why he left?

Another problem is the interest in SETI@home - a lot of previous members of D.net changed to SETI because the stats were down for a long time. Let's try to get people back into D.net instead.

You're definitely right about Seti@Home causing keyrates to drop for most teams. We've been lucky though at AnandTech. Only 42 of our 1200+ have switched over to Seti@home. Many of those also have the Seti client loaded on only 1 or 2 of their boxes, leaving several cracking RC5. That would be my suggestion to you guys, talk to those doing Seti@home and see if they can't put the client on a couple of their machines and leave the rest doing RC5 until either the contest is over or you reach your maximum possible position overall. I've calculated that position for us using a 365 day limit(actually, we could use a 1000 day limit and the results would be the same). The best we can possibly do is 3rd overall, so when we reach that point most of us will switch over to Seti@Home(that's still 294 days away though ). Anyway, try something like that to get people temporarily back over to RC5. Good luck.

Another reason should be due to the closing of the sysopt team contest.
