That sound about right with those CPU's, I saw an even bigger change though. I went from about 700k to 837k!

go ahead and brag...i don't care.
left alone, the AMD does 658 and the Cyrix leaped to a whopping 543!
i'm guessing this is an FPU intensive task, hence my particular numbers??

I'm not bragging, I'm just saying the AMD and Cyrix processors aren't as good for cracking. You might be able to get higher, that does seem a little low - check to make sure there aren't any programs running in the background:

let's try this, and i can learn something new...post under general what a 'bare bones' close program window would contain and still run.

I like the 436 version of the client, it boosted my 350@400 AMD k-4 from 655kkeys/s to 676kkeys/s
the newest one that was released (DOS version) sucked on my machine.

I wasn't getting my stats for a while either, it said I didn't submit any blocks for the day, but I really submitted something like 700. It just took them a little longer, but the stats are fully updated now...

here's what happened to me...they changed my id# to a 6-digit one...i ran a search for myself and found me under a new ID, then had them e-mail my password.
all is well.
downgraded to .432
AMD K6-2 400 went from 645k to 657k
Cyrix MII-300 went from 490k to 520k
are these figures about right?
