    Why not just leave it on. I've had Verizon for some time now, the first 6 months were hell but I have not had to turn off my connection for some time now.

    you might try looking over at the www.dslreports.com forums. My verizon connection loses sync about once a week, I just have to power the modem off and on - and its fine.

    Hey Voog! First the PcChips mobo purrs like a kitten now! HA! I Won!
    Ok back to you..
    What is your network adaptor? Is it a 3 comm too? I had one in mine, and ended up pulling it out and putting in a linksys that I bought, it solved about 70% or the problems I was having like;
    • Modem wouldn't connect
      turn off modem wait
      turn on modem wait
      turn off modem reboot
      reboot
      turn modem on after reboot
      yadda yadda yadda......
    Your's also sounds like it might be something, in the modem software or a driver (doesn't have to be the modem) either missing or corrupt? You might want to double check in the sys info and look through every thing.
    What are you running? Whats your video card? You dont have a regular internal win-modem still in your computer do you?
    Dude you know the drill

    Funny I guessed it was bothering you
    Well that was easy ......

    It's probably the 3comm, mine (I went with a linksys 24.99 when it's not on sale) never does that now that I replaced the card,.
