Where's a good place to buy RJ-45 connectors?

    Hey guys,
I have alot of cat-5 cable with no connectors on it. I was wondering if there was a popular place (not a small, local store) where I can get the connectors and an 8-pin crimping tool.

Can I get this stuff at Radio Shack? Where should I be looking?

    Thanks,
    Doug

I'm not sure of the quality (or price), but I know Home Depot actually sells Cat-5 connectors. At least the one here in NJ that I go to does. I think you can even get the crimper there too.
Another idea is www.blackbox.com . They sell tons of networking stuff. Only problem there is they have higher prices on most of their items.

Office depot also has RJ-45 ends for somewhat cheap (~$10 for 25). Home Depot, maybe Loews, if none of those work I'd check electrical stores. They usually carry Cat-5 along with their phone cables, etc. and have ends.

RadioShack carries standard RJ-45 connectors. You check out the current pricing info at: http://www.radioshack.com

Radioshack seems to always be more expensive than everyone else, on ALL of their products. WildCajun is right....Graybar is the place to check out! They carry much larger packages of RJ-45 connectors than I've seen at radiocrap. I also purchased a Toner & Cat-5 tester from them, which can be a lifesaver!!

    Later.

Your cheapest bet would be to find a Graybar or similar industrial electrical supply house. I think the last time I bought RJ-45 connectors they cost me ~.10 each They will also have crimpers, 66 and 110 punch tools, and anything else you might need. The tools are a bit expensive but they are quality tools unlike what you would find at a CompUsa, office depot, etc.
