I know what your problem is or at least what my problem was. I had the same thing and isn't it agrivating? The cable from my house the the junction box was bad. Everything in my house was fine and had a good fast connection then it would stop. Then boom back on and running then stop. Try calling the cable co. And see if they can fix it. Also doese your modem have lights on it? It should have lights that flicker. And sometimes you can see if it is even getting a signal. If it isn't then you have a problem with the signal coming from the junction box. But if it is gettting a sinal then your problem is after the modem
