Annoying restart
ok... everything in networking is fine, I see and access other groups and they can see me and access my pc, but, in order to do that, I must:
1.- turn pc on. Windows 98 goes on and through the full start process until I find myself on the desktop (no login dialog box so far). At this point, network is not available.
2.- I go to the start menu and select "Close session..." (it's like that, no user name shown). Then it asks me if I really want to close this session, to what I reply "yes".
3.- Wait a little for windows 98 to restart and, there it is, the network login dialog box with my user id, the domain shown, and asking me for the password. When windows completes the login process, all groups in the network are available.
The IT guy says it's a windows 98 bug, and I just hate that he doesn't do anything about it. There should be a work around.
Please Help
Thanks and cheers!!!

ok try this go into your regedit.
you then need to go to:
HKEY_Local_Machine\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curr entVersion\Network\Real Mode Net\
This value should e set to 1
Let me know if this helps.
