network problem HELP
I've got a mini LAN set up in my basement. Everything seems to run fine, except I can set up a server or join one in the game Rainbow6... I know it is not a problem with the game, so that's why I'm posting here. There is some sort of conflict with my adapters (NIC and modem) I think that is causing the problem. Any suggestions could help.
Can your machines see each other without the game? What protocal does Rainbow6 use, IPX/SPX or TCP/IP? If you have TCP/IP installed, can you ping?
ya, the network works just great in all respects, excepting the R6 thingy. I dont' know what protocal R6 uses, but I have both ipx/spx and tcp/ip installed. I can ping everything on the network, so I don't have a clue what the hell is wrong.
