    Auto-login?

Ok, this is not technicaly networking, but my cable modem runs trough a 10mb T, so you might be able to help. I have road runner, I have it setup so every time I start my computer it starts the login app, but I have to type the password, is there a way to make it log in automaticly at boot?

It's real easy... all you have to do is go into "network" properties and change the selection from "Client" logon to "WinLogon"

This will work for a cable modem and network neighborhood LAN setups. If you use a domain (NT) you have to edit the registry under H_KEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/Software/Microsoft/Winnt/Current Version/Winlogon and change the Autoadmin logon key to a "1" and enter a default user id and password under thier keys.
