Linux: 3C509 conflict with SoundBlaster
Running RedHat Linux 5.2
I have a 3Com 3C509 Ethernet Card which worked fine until installing a SoundBlaster card.
There is a conflict with the base io address both want 0x220, and the sound blaster must have this address.
I'm trying to change the 3C509 base io to something else, have had no success changeing to 0x210 or 0x230 with the kernal demon config control panel.
Any ideas?

I'll take two... CPU's
I have had to place the 3COM at least one slot further away from the SBlive for it to work properly. Windows is great when it comes to irq sharing, but its I/O resource sharing leaves a lot to be desired.

curt: have you tried 3com's NIC configuring utility? Download the lastest drivers from 3com's website, boot to dos and run 3c5x9cfg.exe (or something like that).
