    NEW TAN lockups, and auto-reboots

Hi. I just networked my two home PC. (for deathmatch purposes) and my main PC is locking up and autorebooting when I try to drag a file over or push one over to the other PC. It is also VERY slow. The one card I bought new. It's a 32bit Ethernet 10/100 card, with just an RJ46 connection. The card in the PC that is locking up is a combo NIC, (BNC and RJ46). Any suggestions? Thanks.

I would check the frame type settings for the cards, and also make sure they both are compatible. You should run the MSDOS config program for the 10BT nic to see its real configuration choices/settings.

Also, what protocols do you have installed?

TCP/IP is probably the only one you need if its only used for internet and file sharing, and using NetBUI slows everything down becouse it constantly polls for (transmitts packets for ) server activity. Not good.

    Let us know!
