    20k/sec TCPIP 800k IPX

    wellll ftp'in on a 10mbit lan gives me around 20k/sec...
    to the same machine through a windows share i get 800k/sec(ipx)..
    no the machines are not lagged, im sitting by both of them...
    what the hell is wrong ????

    having same problem but i know why i think for my side. one of the network cards its bad i belive i mean it still works apprently in ipx/spx it will go fast or normal and operate good, in tcp/ip it goes that slow or dont work. check your cables, your card play around with the io port and irq settings if it dont work probably bad network card

    found the error... loose cable.. twisted pair...
    sounds odd...
    an error i eliminated by logic, due to the fine operation with the ipx protocol...
    maybe its got something to do with error checking ???
    anywayz.. odd as it sounds... stuff are back to normal...
