    Harddrive for server, need advice

I need a reliable IDE harddrive that will run in a server of a small LAN 24/7. Can anyone recommend a reliable drive that you used and it has not failed.

    thanx

    Hi,

I really like the IBM hard disks: they are fast en very reliable.
For speed and capacity, I would go for the Deskstar 22Gxp (22Gb, 7200rpm).

At work, we are using the deskstar series for our workstations.
For servers, we are using the Ultrastar series (9LZX - 10000rpm, 4Mb cache) and some Seagate Cheetah.

But, I would really choose SCSI for a server...
