    computer not in network neighborhood

What would prevent a computer from showing up in the network neighborhood on the same computer.
When i do a find,it shows loc in the workgroup, but not in the neighborhood so the other pcs on the net don't see it.

Typically, when a computer does not show up, it means it's sharing nothing. If you already have file and print sharing enabled in your network properties, then we need to take a different route. If it is not enabled, add it and it should show up.

I finally got it working!! This network stuff can be a pain in the you know what.

I had everything setup properly, but pcA and pcB could see each other but couldn't see pcC.

pcC could see A and B but not itself in the network neighborhood.

I finally went into advance property for the Netgear card on C and changed the driver from 32 to 16 bit. It's been working perfectly ever since. The other two pcs were using Soho cards.

Next i couldn't get the shared printer to work properly. I downloaded the latest drivers for it and now everything works.

Lesson#1 Stick to the same brand of Nic cards.

Lesson#2 Make sure you are using the latest drivers.
    Thanks
