ADSL installation
Can anyone offer any pointers, im networking two pcs in my house and having ADSL for my speedy service. Not quite sure how to do all of it. I have my cable run from one pc to the other, a hub, the nit cards will be installed the day DSL is installed, then what? How do i set it up so the two pcs can share files, a quake2 game etc. And can i just jump into a Q2 net game and expect incredible ping, low ping that is or is there special settings i will need to investigate. Thanx

Well you have all of the equipment you need you just need to setup the software. I suggest that if you want to share the internet connection that you use some form of proxy software (Wingate, winproxy, NAT). When you setup your network after your nics are installed install the file/printer sharing and the microsoft client for microsoft networks. Run IP and IPX/SPX or Netbui protocols. (I suggest IPX/SPX because most network games on support ip and ipx/spx).
