Thanks! Now what about using 2 printers 1 pc
I want to use 2 printers on one pc but not use a switch box. Like using one as a serial printer maybe?
Thanks

You should go out and buy a parallel port ISA card. They will probably run $5-15. The other way is to get an autoswitch which will automatically detect to which printer the information is going. These run $20-30 for two printers. Buying a serial printer isn't a good idea because a good one will be nearly impossible to find and have practically zero resell value.

Another option if you have a network is to connect one to another machine and share it, or get an external printserver.
A second parallel port as mentioned above works well though, just watch out you don't run out of IRQs.

Though both options are nice I have Serial printers galore. I just need to know how to.
I think I am having problems with the serial port settings as respect to the printer.
i.e. pairity,and such.
Thanks
