Help with Network Card
I am trying to install a network card for
on a win95 machine.
The Network card is an ISA SMC Elite Ultra Plus.
When I do a search for the card, windows finds it and installs all the required drivers and software.
But everytime I boot i get a message saying
"You network adaptor.....is not working properly."
But when I go to device manager is says device is working fine.
I have client for microsoft networks and all the protocals installed (IPX, Netbios, Netbeui and TCP/IP)
what could be wrong here?
Thanks

Hey Darth,
The same message has happened to me. I had to erase everything that had to do with the network card a couple of times and do fresh installs before everything would work. Good luck.

Darth..
If removing & reinstalling it doesn't help you may need different drivers. Check the manufactures web site. I had this same problem with LyncSys ISA 16 PnP cards, the driver win95 AND win98 attempted to use would not work, but installing LyncSys's drivers did the trick
