    Which is the best mobo?

I'm debating on which mobo to get? the Epox EP-8k7a or the 8kta3 or the gigabyte GA-7DX. they all I got good reviews but I would like the best. I will be putting in a T-bird 1.33 chip in it. also anyone know if any of these motherboards will support the amd chips coming out in the near future?

I don't know anything about the board (I'm using an MSI K7T Turbo), but make sure you use pricewatch.com or another searchbot, and you can get that Abit mobo for about $116 + shipping. If you know where it's cheaper than that, LET US KNOW!!

Better read the post about the Phoenix/Award BIOS issue. On the basis of that I'd definitely be leaning towards the Epox, but then I don't want spyware (and apparently performance zapping spyware) embedded in my BIOS.

I think this whole "which motherboard" question has to be put on hold til this PhoenixNet issue gets resolved. NOBODY shuld be buying mobos with that **** embedded in the BIOS.

I have the 8k7a, without the phoenixnet **** - new bios flash.
Its a stable board for me, no problems.

The main differences between the 8k7a and 8kta3 are:
8k7a - DDR motherboard, no ISA slots, 2 DDR Dimm slots, AMD761 chipset

8k7a3 - Sdram motherboard, 1 ISA slot, 4 SDram Dimm slots, kt133a chipset

The Gigabyte boards are very stable but most of them are not good for overclocking (if you plan to do that).!

And about the BIOS issue, a lot (if not most) Gigabyte boards come with the AMI BIOS which is not the best but it does suffice.!
