    ISO: Installing KT7A Raid Help

    A freind/coworker bought a bunch of goodies, a Toshiba DVD player, an Abit KT7 Raid mobo, Thunderbird 900Mhz CPU, 256meg 133 ram, 40Gig IBM 7200 HD, Asus 7700 Geforce 2 video.


    He's having problems installing the setup he wants:

    IDE Primary Master: DVD Drive
    Slave: LS120 Drive
    Secondary Master: CD-RW Drive
    Slave: CD-Player

    RAID Primary Master: 40Gig HD

    Can this be done? OR Must a HD reside on the IDE Controller????

    According to the Abit manual, Dos and Windows3.1 don't need driver to support this (Yet Win9X does?!?!?). Theres nothing in the manual about not having (or must having) a HD on the IDE controller...

    They actually recommend installing the HD on the RAID controller (IDE3 or IDE4).
