HHEEELLPPP???- my 7ata does not blip!???
Hi - need your help on this one - I've got a chaintech 7ata. amd750 and 128 of mem.
Video is a intel 740 agp,
problem - I put it in the box and nothing happens - it has an atx power supply so I figured it was dead - took it back to dealer PS works on his amd board.
fan doesn't turn - nothing
I pulled everything off until i had - processor + fan - mem - video card and tried again - no go
I found it has a case switch!
Would the case intrusion on the board keep this unit form firing up. It did not have a switch in the box but is mentioned in the book.
thanks for the help - David
just did some research on atx power supplies - is it correct that I need a momentary switch to fire the board up initially. dfr - thanks
SORRY - FOUND IT!!!
I've never worked on a axt power supply - didn't know you had to kick it in the pants to start it first. I used the reset switch to start it up. Thanks and goodnight
David
