USB on P5I430TX-250 Titanium I
i read the thread about USB on 430VX. It sounds as if USB should work on my m/b, but it doesnīt.
I have no USB options in my bios but for keyboard.
All info about bios upgrade i found did not mention usb at all.
What can i do?
Herīs my m/b and bios data
(Program: Unicore BIOS Wizard Version 1.5)
(Program: Unicore Chip Detect v0.72 2000.03.10)
BIOS Date: 06/17/97
BIOS Type: Award Modular BIOS v4.51PG
BIOS ID: 06/17/97-i430TX-NS336-2A59IQ19C-00
BIOS Eval: P5I430TX Titanium I BIOS V2.2S 06/17/97
Chipset: Intel Triton 430TX rev 1
Superio: NSC 336 rev 0 found at port 398h
430TX uses PIIX4 or PIIX4e south bridge chips, and those always had USB 1.0 compliant controllers in them.
You don't need any USB options in BIOS - USB is entirely driver controlled, except for using an USB keyboard outside of USB-aware operating systems.
