Hard Drive Detection Software
I have an old Batman's Revenge motherboard I am trying to install. It was the original motherboard in the computer. When I tried to install it, the computer never started. I made sure all the connections were proper. Any help would be beneficial.
I also heard that some old motherboards need some kind of hard drive detection software in order to work. If this exists, it would be helpful if someone could tell me where to get it.

Are you getting any beeps from the system? What are you trying to install to it...a larger hard drive? Are there any errors that come up?

I am trying to instal the motherboard itself with all of it's original components. It used to be in the computer and worked fine with everything else.
The only thing that starts up is the internal fan and nothing else. No beeps and no errors come up on the screen. Actually nothing comes up on the screen. I have tried switching and rotating connections in hope that something would work, but with no luck.

OK, have you tried reseating your video card, CPU & memory...?

CPU and memory are properly installed and functional. They were fully functional right up until I removed them. Also the video card is properly seated, but it is not causing the problem since the drives never come on.

Have you checked the cmos battery?
