Lightbulb Help! with an At motherboard and power connector!!

My friend decided he wanted to take apart his old cyrix 100 computer.. He unpluged the at style power plugs on the mb. And now I can not tell which one goes were. There is no marking on the board as to which one goes on which side?

Does any one have any experence with older AT style mb power connectors? Is there a standard?

I tryed doing what sounded logical to me, which was pulg them in the way the wire wanted to lay (since it had been in there for a long time). But when I turned it on (very fast) nothing happened. Just get LCD lights (hd light on).

Anyone got any suggestions that might help me out?
Thanks for taking the time to read this,

    Snf

    Thanks!!

That was how I had it. But now still nothing. I only smell something burning.. But nothing else happenes.

I guess that means the board is bad then, right? I don't know what it could be.. but thanks :-)

Just becuase the fan on the power supply runs, it don't mean the power supply is good, I have had some where Voltage is so far out that Mobo would never fire up. if you can get hold of a Multi meter and check the voltages out, before assuming the Mobos dead.

    Wink

Plug the two connectors in so that the black wires are in the center, not the outside...

    Cool

The 2 AT power connectors should be fitted so that the black wires of both connectors are side by side (next to each other).
