Problem with BE6 rev2 and booting

System boots fine running at 66 MHz FSB (7.5 multiplier). I currently have a celeron 500. When we run it to 100 MHz FSb and lower the multiplier to 5 the system hangs before the video header comes up. We are using 100 MHz mem. and have AGP set to 2/3 (viper 770 ultra).

Any ideas?

Sorry to tell you this, intel cpu's have the multiplier locked. So you must keep it at 7.5 all the time or it won't work.

So mathmatically with a 100 mhz fsb and the multiplier at 7.5 you would get 750mhz. Don't expect that unless you have super cooling.

Try this, up the frontside bus to 75 and the multiplier at 7.5 and you will get 563mhz. If it is unstable maybe up the voltage by 0.1 .

You won't get to much out of the celeron 500. I have the 500 and the fastest I can go is 563. A very few people are lucky and can get it to 624.
