Question Stopping devices from powering down

Is it possible to stop devices, such as hard disks and CDRoms, from powering down? I'm getting tired of waiting for the drives to power back up if I havent used them for a while.

Well sure you can stop them from powering down, depending on what OS you have you just change the setting accordingly

In win98, goto settings, display properties, and click on the screen saver tab. Click settings and the power schemes tab. You will find your system standby settings below. Run through the pull down menus until you get to the never option.
