Unhappy Tyan S1598 Hard Drive DMA Problem

I just bought a Tyan S1598 and when I put a check in the dma box for the hard drive and reboot, my mouse pointer gets slow and jerky. I have a Western Digital ata66 drive, Any Ideas?

    Thanks,

    Larry

I presume you have loaded the via 4in1 drivers, this will put a folder called viadmatool on your system, open this and run it to set your dma and agp.hope this helps.

i fixed the problem by changing my drives around, it didn't want to work with my cd\rw as the slave to the hard drive. i also never install the 4 in 1 drivers unless i have to, sometimes they hurt more than they help.

    thanks,
