How to get Higher Voltage on BX6-2?
Hey guys,
I heard there is a way to get higher than 2.3 volts avaliable if you flash the bios a certain way. I am trying to find out how to do this as I need to get a bit more than 2.3 volts to get my celeron 333a stable at 516mhz.
Thanks for any "insite" to go about this

from what i heard you flash it while at 2.3 and then you get way up to 2.7 I think i dont have one so i am not sure

set the voltage to 2.3 and then flash the bios, you should be able to get to 2.7 volts then...e-mail me with your results with your c333 cuz i have one too and its not all too stable at 500, my other one ran extremely stable at 522 mhz with retail hs/fan...

I tryed the trick the bios before flashing thing on my BH6. It was a failed experement. The only way to get higher voltagaes is to tape pins if this message dont work. Im not gunna go and do that tho

Well I tried setting my voltage to 2.3 before flashing and after the flash I still only had 2.3 avaliable...But now I have heard that you need to have some "switchs" included such as /c, /h ?????? what or were can I find information on this? Thanks!

The command string that should work is ~
awdflash newbios.bin /py savebios.bin /sy /cc
where
~ /py is Program Flash Memory
~ /sy is Save Old Bios To Disk File and
~ /cc is Clear CMOS after programming.
It's that last one that makes the Vcore range work.
You can see all of the available switches by typing awdflash /? at the command prompt.

The only way to get the voltage higher than 2.3 is as they say ... set it at 2.3 just when you flash the bios. This will give you loads more voltage settings ... i believe when i did it on my bx6 rev 2 i got up to 2.7
One problem is that if at any time you reset the bios it goes back down to the standard 2.3
As far as i am aware you cant do anything about tha apart from flash it again on full voltage
