Diamond Micronics C400 SB Link Header(PLEASE HELP ASAP)
hello,
I am very sorry for the rush, but I REALLY need to find out some info and I would be GREATLY in your debt if you can help me. I just bought a Diamond Micronics C400 motherboard and have a question. There is a plug next to one of the PCI slots that is called the SB Link Header Pin. Otherwise known as Jumper 27. What I need to find out is if anyone has a board where the pins are missing. I have the spot there and it looks like it COULD be there, BUT the pins are broke off. I just need to find out if this is an optional item of if I need to exxhange my board for another one. Thank you very much if you can help me out with this. And once again, sorry for the rush request. I just need to hurry up and find out so I can replace the board from where I bought it before my time is up on returning it.
Thanks again for the help.
Darrell

If you bought it from a regular store, just take it back and show them. They will be able to tell you by comparing it to another board. If you bought it on-line, I don't have the answer for you.

I had a Diamond/Micronics C300 with the same plug. It took some time to get through the tech support e-mail tree, but the answer that Diamond finally returned to me is that the plug was never actually implimented.
