    abit bx6-2 and adaptec scsi

adaptec told me today that they have an intel has id'd a problem with all 440bx chipsets (I think it's the abit motherboard)that may not recognize adaptec scsi cards on any 1 of the 5 pci slots on the mb. I have tested this thoroughly to no avail. It's true- I have the u2w scsi card and the pc boots as if there wasn't anything on the slots. I've verified pci 2.1, int a, irq's, bus mastering, etc. Has anyone had this problem and how does it get fixed?

sounds very odd - I used untill a few days ago a GA-6 BXE motherboard with Intel 440BX chipset and had no problems with my Adaptec UW SCSI card .

I had it on PCI slot five but to answer your question I've tryed it again today and had success on all five PCI slots .

So I dont really think its the i440bx chip .
