    motherboard mix dram + simm

I just buy a motherboard (houston model 751) and a install 2simms of 8megs + 1dram of 64megs; this mix wont work. I remove the dram because when i remove the both simms it make me lost the video. How can i configure the setup to use only the DRAM??? ????
(the motherboard have his owns video + sound chipsets).
Is it possible to add a video card 3dfx without problem???

make sure you have installed the memory in the correct slots, check in the handbook it wont work if you put it in the wrong order. also make sure that the sdram is firmly in and seated properly. some mobo dont like to mix simms and sdram, again check your handbook. your video most likely wont work if you remove the memory because it is using system memory and if you take it out????. a 3dfx card should work ok
