How to activate agp on M577?

    Hi there.
Can anyone tell me how to activate the agp-slot on my M577 motherboard??
After installing the software which came with my mb (agpdrivers/idedrivers) SANDRA98 (sisoft) still reports a disabeld agp-slot
Is there a way (program) te test the agp-slot?.
    I have a Hercules Terminator128/3d glh video card (8mb).

Also I have a very low memory benchmark in Sandra98 (only 69) a college with a pentium 133 scores 90 (strange isn't it).

    My system k6/300 (not k6/2)
    64mb sdram/100mhz
    isdn/ 2 hd's (tot. 6,6gb)
    40x cd-rom/ philips cd-writer cdd3610

    Thanks in advance Harold

AGP is usually activated through the BIOS.
With Award, it's located in Chipset Features Setup.

with regard to sandra and memory, I get **** memory/system readings. I think there must be a problem with the progam. my brother also has a similar system as mine, K6 2 300 o/c to 333 with 128sdram on aopen 59 pro and gets the same poor readings. however it shows cpu way up near p2 which would be correct. strange.
yes you should enable the slot in the bios, i cant remember if you also need to need to alter the award bios to boot the agp first rather than the pci

    Hi!

PC-Chips posted a new BIOS for the M577 in ftp.pcchips.com.tw/BIOS/M577, which claims to fix some AGP related problems.

However, we have been using these boards for quite a while (with ATI and #9 AGP graphics boards), and never had such a problem, at least not with the previous 12/22/1998 BIOS.

    Regards, Peter
